What do four trips to Home Depot, five gallons of paint, moved furniture, two pizza orders, one sick cat, being ignored by one's in-laws during an evening of stupid dances and bagpipe music, and a long chat where one's mother insults everyone who isn't as stubborn as she is have in common?

This weekend.

I can't wait to get back to work on Monday.... grrrrr!!!

Sounds bad. Try wasted time, gas, and toll charges on an event that got rained out; a second wasted trip to pick up my daughter when the family she stayed with brought her to our home & her dad took her to a mutual acquaintance's place; language & cultural barriers at that place; and an argument over money spending, as if someone who buys a sports car & cigarettes is one to talk. You and I can't wait to get back to the same place!

LOL Yup...
And here's the suckish thing about all that: work isn't that great!

I had a great weekend and am sorry it's over. But that means that we're now closer to 28 October, which is Oxi Day, one of my favourite days of the year. Lots of patriotic music, reading up on World War II/finding some original footage, some nationalistic reflection and prayers for the future and great food! Too bad I'll be alone for it.

When I said "nationalistic reflection" I meant reflecting on the nation as opposed to myself.
